I spent the week in Tampa, FL working for Richfield Video. I was hired to run camera, graphics, edit customer videos, etc. The crew of ten made it a great experience; we all worked closely in order to make sure customer orders were filled and the webcasts for each session of the show went smoothly.
The smaller crew also ensured a greater level of responsibility for each member. I had the chance to better understand the role of engineer for live broadcast. While I'm not nearly experienced enough to support that role on a larger scale, I learned so much by exercising trouble-shooting skills.
My responsibilities included ensuring equipment was set up and working each day, beginning streaming of the webcast, running camera, running graphics, and processing customer videos. In addition to that I had the opportunity to quickly shoot a header video that was used for the webcast. It can be viewed below.
It was a great experience which allows opportunity for further learning.
I look forward to freelancing for Richfield more in the future.
